Client Spotlight: Ria's Self Love Shoot

Oh, the magic of an early morning shoot. There’s something about waking up before the world stirs, coffee in hand, heading somewhere new, just chasing the light.

Ria and I set out before the sun, winding our way up the quiet roads to a spot neither of us had shot at before. That’s one of my favourite things about photography - each session is an adventure, and this one felt like exactly that. The drive itself was part of the experience, the road twisting and turning, pot holes galore.

I suppose the other wonderful thing about such an early wake up is seemingly getting the whole great outdoors to yourself! With no one else in sight, there were no morning walkers, no noise - just us, the golden morning light, and the fresh air filling our lungs.

If you were to ask me - I'll always say the early wake up is worth it. Its like getting an early morning workout in - have you ever once woken up early, exercised and regretted it? I know the answer is no.

This morning was fuelled by big coffees for each of us, though we captured exactly what we came for: light, movement, and a moment that felt entirely her.

These are the shoots that remind me why I love what I do. The adventure of finding the perfect light, the feeling of having a whole space to yourself, and most of all, seeing someone step into their own and truly feel it.
