Business Spotlight: Tinti Ceramics

Some afternoons are just meant for slow creativity, good conversation, and the comforting sound of rain on the roof. That’s exactly the kind of afternoon I spent with Courtney.

Courtney is a ceramicist, and stepping into her converted studio space felt like stepping into a little world of warmth and artistry. It was one of those cold, rainy days that make you want to stay indoors with a hot drink, and honestly? It was perfect for this shoot. The soft, diffused light, the hum of creativity in the air, and - of course - her adorable little sausage dog trotting around, demanding pats at every opportunity. (And let’s be real, I was more than happy to oblige.)

We spent the afternoon capturing her in her element - hands covered in clay, shaping and refining each piece with so much care. There’s something so mesmerizing about watching a ceramicist work, the way raw clay transforms in their hands, slowly becoming something both delicate and strong. It’s an art form that requires patience, vision, and a whole lot of trust in the process.

Between shots, we talked about the future - big dreams, new ideas, the excitement of creating something entirely your own. There’s something so inspiring about people who throw themselves fully into their craft, carving out their own little space in the world (literally, in Courtney’s case - her studio is such a beautifully personal space, a reflection of her and her work).

By the time I left, the rain was still falling, her little pup was curled up contentedly, and the studio was filled with the quiet magic of work in progress - pieces waiting to be fired, ideas waiting to take shape, a creative journey unfolding in its own time.

Some shoots are about capturing what is, but this one? This one was about capturing what’s still to come. And I cannot wait to see where Courtney’s journey takes her next.

With love,

Jen
