I’ve always found the typical “about me” page a little strange because I could tell you my favourite colour is green and that I love to go camping but that doesn't really tell you who I am or why I photograph people the way I do.
You’re letting someone into your relationship and asking them to see you properly, and then somehow turn all of that into photographs that feel like you. I think it’s only fair that I let you know a little more about me too.
To be completely honest, I spent a lot of my life seeing people living these carefree, Pinterest-worthy lives, and wondering why my life looked different. Eventually I realised that all it takes is to romanticise your life. I know that saying is overdone these days... but my favourite memories aren't how cool the stage looked at a festival I went to, or even how the artist sounded. It's the belly laughs while getting ready with friends and how it felt screaming the lyrics amongst a crowd doing the same. Everything I love about my life is found in the emotion of it all - even when doing things that are seemingly mundane.
I think being photographed is actually a pretty vulnerable thing.

That’s what I want to do for you. I want to romanticise your love story and show you how beautiful it already is, exactly as it is.
I’m not interested in making your relationship look like somebody else’s or creating a perfectly curated version of your life for an hour. I’d much rather take what is already there and make something beautiful out of it. The way you naturally interact, the things that make you laugh, the little habits you probably don’t even realise you have with each other.
There is so much beauty in the life you’re already living. Sometimes you just need to see it through a different lens.
